RHYTHM & PERCUSSION WORKSHOP Join us for an immersive exploration of rhythm, communication, and collective music-making through the Argentinian Rhythm Sign Language—a dynamic system that enables musicians to create spontaneous compositions in real time. This workshop fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment where participants will develop essential skills for ensemble playing, improvisation, and rhythmic awareness. Workshop Content: Percussion Ensemble Techniques – Understanding the interplay of rhythm in group settings. Rhythm Sign Language – Mastering the fundamentals of this innovative conducting method. Advanced Rhythm Concepts – Exploring binary, ternary, and pentary subdivisions. Instrumental Roles – Learning how different instruments contribute to various musical styles. Polyrhythmic Structures – Developing independence and rhythmic layering. Harmony & Groove – Connecting rhythm to harmonic movement. World Rhythms – Engaging with Afro-Latin and global rhythmic traditions. Special Guest Instructors – March 2025 Throughout March, we are thrilled to welcome guest instructors specializing in Central and South American rhythms, offering unique perspectives and expertise. These artists will rotate across the four sessions, enriching the learning experience with their deep-rooted knowledge of traditional and contemporary styles. Flexible Learning Options For those interested in focusing exclusively on Rhythm Sign Language, you have the flexibility to attend either the Tuesday or Wednesday session each week.
